Its a school holiday, but unlike any other day, the traffic was quite congested when I was on my way home.
Reaching home, my attention diverted to the noise I heard coming from the kitchen door.
“The kittens are hungry. The mother cat didnt come at all today”
Oh nooooo….. what a pity. I didnt like what my maid just told me. I rushed out to see them. Two of them struggled to enter my house. Sorry babies..my hubby said, ‘no fur allowed in the house’.
Poor kittens. They were looking lost and hungry.
Good bye mom….!
The moment with their mom was over. She could have died hit by a car somewhere out there. She was a fast moving stray cat though.
Not knowing the consequences, I asked my helper to feed them with Dutch Lady milk.
“Noooo…..that will cause them to purge!”
“Get a milk formula from the vet, especially for kittens”
“what a pity..they’re so cute..!”
“give them a blanket”
“keep them inside your house”
Those were statements I received from all my cat lover friends, Ina, Aini, Ezzah, via Whatsapp. Too bad, it was late and the vets could have closed their door by the time I arrive.
They didnt seem to like the blanket that I gave before I retire for the nite. I could only pray for them to be strong and survive.
When I woke up in the morning, my maid was busy washing the wet kitchen floor. She kept the kittens in a box.
“They were purging” She said.
“Stop giving them the milk” I told her. Then I took a peep inside the box. Whew..! they are still alive.
“I will help to advertise to the cat lover club” I received message from Johan, The pet lover. We’ve never met, but we communicated thru short messages after being introduced by Ezzah, this morning.
Thank you, Johan…….. What a great guy he is.
Be strong cutiepies….
