Sorry is not that hard to say

A call to an old friend turned back memories. We attended the same university. For some reason we could not get along. That's all I could remember.

Now that I am able to value friendship better, I made an effort to rebuild the relationship with whoever I could get hold with. Be it my childhood friends, my elementary school mate, my secondary school mate, my university mate or new found friend.

People, intentionally or unintentionally tend to make mistakes. So do I. Thus, asking for forgiveness is always my first line whenever I get hold of my old friends.

Throwing the arrogance away, today I called Mary, one of my ex-university mate. Within our social life, I knew I’ve hurt her somehow, somewhat, somewhere. I could not remember the exact moment, as someone who feel the pain normally remembers better, while the other party tends to forget. Somehow, I all along could feel the guilt.

The call I made without regret. Over the telephone, she has forgiven me with an open mind. I feel as if part of my burden is lifted away.  She reminded me of what happened. I was ashamed. I'm glad I called, though. It was for the better.

PEACE….!!! my friend.

Asking for forgiveness is not something for one to be ashamed. Instead it will eliminates some of your wrinkles and cleanses your soul.
