Although heated at times it was cool and fun, overall. The arrangement were not easy as thought. Some said it was a little too long a waiting, but some even had other event much earlier scheduled on that particular date, that they missed the fun and didn't have a chance to see the special welcoming banner with the expression of ‘Jom Buat Ghamai’, which only understood by the Warasa Eussof Group.
Facebook was the main information board. Phone calls after phone calls, messages after messages, we were at last appeared to register on that very day.
I agree to the saying that handling others are much easier that handling your own family. Anyway, congratulation to those volunteers who had themselves prepared with ‘THICK ears’. They were ever ready to hear the HOOHA..HOOHA from the very beginning.
Their coolness deterred me from making a fuss over the delayed of getting my room key. After all, I didn't come for the cozy room. (hush..hush..my room was worth waiting).
Held on the 28th-30th April 2012, The family day of Warasa Eussof Family took place at a new hotel in Port Dickson. Kelana Beach Resort was just perfect for a group of about 140 of us.
It promises a perfect ocean view from the cliff of ‘Teluk Kemang’.
Many of those ‘Think-ears’ people, reached the place much earlier to ensure arrangements were all in place.
The first calling were made for all to gather at the hall.
Again, it wasn't easy to cut off their conversation. Despite a few announcement to get everyone to sit, those cousins were too irresistible not to say hello upon.
Please take a seat everyone…..attention please… hello…
hmmm…..
Then, in the midst of the havoc,
LADIES..AND..GENTLEMEN…!!!.
The chairman had spoken behind those who were still standing.
That hushed down the hall and put everyone to their seats.
“hmm.. so this is how to handle them…” I thought. I laughed within.
Still..some continued whispering.
After attending a couple of family gathering, I started to see more familiar faces, this time.
In the hall, we were all introduced by family names, the names of the late siblings, whose parents were originated from Pondicherry, India, Warasa Eussof, who happened to be the great grandfather of my hubby.
Group by group we stood. Hee haa..!! Banzai..!! yahuuu..!! yabaaaah..! were heard loud and clear.
It was a 2 nights stay with FUNtastic moments. Everyone was to be given a credit, that I don't find it necessary to specifically mention specific names. Everyone’s presence contributed to the merry days.
We talked, we argued, we at times added sarcasms as an essence to our conversation , we topped up with jokes, we did unintentionally laugh to others agony during the games and we too laughed to those who are funny.
Things that bound to happen within a family gathering, did happen. We apologized, though. Some forgiving, while a few were still thinking. Hey..Nobody is perfect. You and I, she and he, regardless of whose son and whose daughter, my kids and yours are all from the same ancestor. When to you are ill, I care, when you die, I’ll cry. We are one family. We do care. OK, Enuff said.
OK guys…game is about to start….Lets tag in a group….!
and show our acrobatic move….
Lets jump to the pool and stay tanned but cool..!!!
While the juniors busy battling on their games, the seniors hopped on a big bike recalling their younger years with pride.
The first night concluded with a game to search for the Japanese warrior-wannabe.
The games was conducted in the dark.
Here’s the winner…..came all the way from Singapore..AKMAL ALI..!!!

Morning has broken. I was awaken by a loud music . Wow!! Aerobic..!!!
Left and left..right and right..back and back..one up..one down… turrrnnnnn……
OOpss..!! where is everbody going?
It was fun..FUn..FUn…! I watched and listen to the music……….from my window.
but … “hmm….I will join on the following day”. I told my husband.
Boy, you go..!! I instructed my son. Such an obedient boy, Adri went.
The 2nd day was even more fun, according to my son. They were enjoying the games under the sun, while I was too busy going in and out of the restroom… not resting though. I was caught by a bad diarrhea. SHARK..!!! what a wrong time to come.
Next, the moment we all were waiting for. GALA DINNER..!!!!
My tummy was still full of butterflies then, but I could not get an MC (Medical Cert) from being an Amcee for that nite. I managed to pull my energy, all out for the special occasion.
But how?No proper script . Even if there was, it wasn't studied. I read the same line twice.
Thats it.! Forget about the script.Lets get it done..!
Then the Two of us , the unprofessional Amcees went ahead to the stage looking at each other not knowing who say what..in the end…we just said what supposed to be said.
The children Costume Parade made the highlight of the nite. Congratulation Moms and Dads ..!!! You are very supporting parents.
Performance after performance… WELL DONE EVERYONE..!!!
Slots for the unplanned and the unexpected were also buffered in, even when time were running out. We did all. Good job guys and gals….
Those performances must have captured everyone’s heart that food did not taken into priority. After dinner, most of us ended at a restaurant until after midnight, still hungry.

On the 2nd morning…..
All the bags a re packed. It was time to go back.
Some busy capturing their togetherness.
I could not let go those cuties…
Some were still in their performing mood.
While some were too tired to say goodbye.
For some reason my hubby , Adri and I chose to stay back for another 3 hours from the checkout time. We were granted a late checkout.
As we checked out, the waiting hall was quite. The whole Warasa Eussof gang had gone. We saw noone other than the hotel staff who was busy cleaning up the area.
We walked out of the door without anyone saying goodbye. They all must have reached their home sweet home.
The parking area looked wider than the day before. And water in the swimming pool was not shaken at all.
Emptiness got into me all of a sudden.
Now the feeling of part-of-the-family is felt in me.
Where were you all those years????? (thats me self-asking)
I entered the car wondering if it will ever happen again. The FUNtastic family gathering, I meant.
