The thought that counts

It was festive season and I was too busy eating and chatting that I could not get myself to spend more time blogging. 30 days of Eid celebration at last ended yesterday. I am now recalling the events.

Lets see…….

Simple dishes…

Rushed preparation..

Not enough seats , that some ended sitting on the staircase and on the floor..

Not enough ‘Lemang’ (glutinous rice cooked in a bamboo stick). Thanks to the technology for creating rice cooker.

Not enough ‘nice’ plates, that ended everyone eating on a disposable plastic dinnerware.

‘As is’.IKEA uses the term.

Regardless of the simplicities, they still came to us. They made my Eid day, that, not having to celebrate with my own parents and siblings during the recent Eid-Ul-Adha didn't turn me to ‘emo’.

I am blessed to have had such ‘no-problem’ in-laws.

As one of them said….’The thought that counts’.

I luv y’oll…!!!
