Hello again, Medan ( Indonesia)

Not even 2 months, we are back to Medan. Sad though, because we went without Nadia. She could not get approval from her college. Bye girl. We will make it up soon.

unlike my previous trip, the line at the immigration was much longer. The immigration just implemented a new security measure, which requires each passenger to put all they fingers, starting from 4 fingers of the right hand, followed by 4 fingers of the left hand, then both thumbs, on a special scanner. It took a while to complete the procedures.

The flight landed at 8:50am. We were out of the terminal building at around 9:50am. Early checkin to the hotel was not possible, as it is during Malaysian school holiday, which marks a peak season for Indonesia. We then left our luggage with the concierge and took a taxi to our favourite Garuda Restaurant. Taxi cost Rp25000/way and our excellent lunch cost Rp290,000 (RM120 or USD30).

The only place I enjoyed getting stuck on a red traffic light is in Medan, where I will normally look around for many talented people by the road side. We were entertained by a cute toothless boy with his small guitar, sang us a song. We could not figure out what his words, anyway, we gave him a small token of appreciation for his cute performance.

At last, we walked into the nice and cosy room of Grand Aston Hotel.

My son, Adri, slipped into a robe and rested. My hubby did some work, while I continued my reading on 'Love in a torn land'. The storry is getting into supense.

A little later, Adri joined my colleague, Anuar to the swimming pool and enjoyed their swimming on the 3rd floor.

A bit later, we decided to walk around the area, enjoyed the surrounding, before ended at Grand Palladium Plaza, a small shopping complex. Thinking of Nadia, I bought her something that I figured she might like.

Then dinner time. Adri and I didn't feel like going out thinking tomorrow will be a long day.  So, my hubby went with Anuar, while I started my PC and Adri had gone deeply asleep.
Tomorrow will be more exciting. Lake Toba and Samosir Island is already waiting for us.
(To be continued…)
