Impromptu, my hubby and I took my parents to Ipoh to visit my daughter at her boarding school. Our regular 2 hours drive up north of Peninsular Malaysia.
We spent our lunch with Nadia. Next we proceeded to Cameron Highland. My mom told that her last visit to this vegetable and flower town was more than 10 years ago. We enjoyed the beautiful sight of the tea plantation.
Most said the town is not as cooling as in the good old days. To me, the breeze was just perfect for me. ( about 18-22 degree or more at day time).
For 2 hour driving up the highland, we were glad to see the sign board heading us towards Bharat Tea Cafe. That was our first destination. I could tell how much my parents enjoyed the trip.
My hubby and I were glad that we took them there. How nice being married to a tour agent who could easily arranged for a nice tour and comfortable accommodation within a short notice for all of us. Heritage Hotel promises a picturesque view.
We love the tea (Teh Tarik) and the freshly baked English scones. Indescribable good…..
The cool breeze was so refreshing. The scenery was awesome. I spent more time appreciating the green, as I could not expect the green sight to be there any longer in my next visit, as buildings construction were everywhere.
I like the town. Those narrow roads added special beauty to the town. Among the town we passed by named Tanah Rata (happening area), Kg Raja and Brinchang, where the night market is (pasar malam).
We could see strawberry products everywhere. fruits, pillow, key chain, room sleepers, T-shirts, umbrella, just name it, you will find strawberry on it. Somehow, if you plan to buy the real fruit, I suggest you eat them immediately, as the freshness doesn't last longer. I did that.
We spent our dinner on steamboat. Veggies.. Oh… veggies…. my favorite.
On the next day, I was too busy buying all kind of vegetables, that I could not remember snapping photograph other than my mom’s and mine, right before the shopping started, also Adri’s (my son) who was too sleepy for the morning market.
On the way back to Kuala Lumpur, we made a quick stop at Lata Iskandar Water fall. Awesome sight, but it was drizzling that we could not stay longer.
We reached home at around 6:30pm. That was about 4.5 hours spent on the road, including restroom and prayer stops.
What a beauty. Cameron Highland.
