Long Live The Tortoise

I’ve been keeping him since his 1in diameter in size. That was about 13 years back and now, with the size grown up to about 9in in diameter, he is still living with us.

Money spent on him for a small aquarium, then moved him to a bigger basin, next to a own-dug small pond, next we had to pay people to make a bigger pond, then my hubby had to purchase fish to feed him. Some fish didn't get eaten by this lazy barbarian. They grew up with him instead. Ended we had to buy a water pump for the fish to live comfortably and became part of our pet.

Quite recently, somebody found another species of him and offered it to us to dump into the same pond. Later, another was found by someone else. Again offered to us to take care. Now 3 tortoise in total. Swimming in our in-house pond, fighting for space. We don't know where else to place them. I am not wishing them to die, but just wondering how long more they can sustain to live. What a long living creatures. Tortoise.
