It was past dinner time when my business partner and I reached Oriental Seafood Restaurant in Penang. It is located at the end of Gurney Drive. My hubby and I used to patronized the place when my in-laws were still living in this nostalgic island.
Gina and I were so hungry upon crossing over the Penang Bridge after 3 hours drive from Kangar, Perlis, which is located up north of the Peninsular Malaysia. It was an earlier planned client visit, we did last week. We skipped our lunch on that day for the main purpose of leaving an extra space for our then coming seafood fiesta.
After checking in to the hotel, which provides stacks of stacks of staircases, we drove to Gurney Drive. We entered the restaurant while many people were already on their way out and most left.
We both had intention to snap photos of the excellent looking dishes while they are still burning hot, the moment they were brought to our table, but could not remember it, for a reason. HUNGER..
We ended capturing what left.
It was worth paying RM160.
After food, we went back to the hotel. Equatorial Hotel, up the hill ‘Bukit Jambul’. Nice Clean, neat and cozy, but…..
Not too friendly to the elderly (like us). There goes our fats.
If you are fit enough to climb up and down the staircases, you might want to stay here……..
to enjoy the green from your balcony.
